About The Brick Builder Blog

Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to "Brick Builder Snarf"! This is a blog dedicated to all of my adventures involving anything LEGO. Here you will find me building sets, time-lapse videos, loot box reviewing, and anything else LEGO related. Any age of persons is able to enjoy a good, wholesome LEGO build.

How Did This All Start?

I recently got back into building some LEGO sets again because they have always proven to be a great stress reliever. The more I got into them the more I discovered there is a whole community surrounding the art of building and sharing LEGO content. This ranges from all ages and all genres of builds. People build sets and some people build their own sets. People collect mini figures and some people create their own mini figures. The amount of different ways to enjoy LEGO is pretty endless. Discovering all the different blogs, Instagram profiles, and Facebook communities really opened my eyes to what can be found within this niche community. From all this, I was inspired to create my own LEGO content and share it with other people.

What Are Your Plans For All Of This?

There really isn't an end goal. I just enjoy building and want to share it with other people. Building a large viewer base would be really neat but beyond that, I just want to share the joy of the craft. I hope that other people will be able to relate and see that all different skill levels of LEGO builders are able to take part in the LEGO hype. I want to give an honest and casual look at what it is like to be a hobbyist in the LEGO community because I am far from an expert myself.

So hopefully you'll stick around and enjoy the content as I begin to expand more on this blog. I warn you though, it is an addictive hobby and you'll find yourself down quite a few pretty pennies the deeper you dig into it. But enjoy none the less!

Let's Build - LEGO Creator - "Treehouse Adventures"

Here is a other build that I did a while ago. This one had three different ways to build and this was the set up that I chose to do. Two kids enjoying a treehouse without the burden of the adult world on their shoulders. Plenty of fun things to do in and around their treehouse, and it even has a Bluejay and a Frog! This is set #31053 and contains 387 pieces. It was a medium difficulty build and I did struggle a little bit because there was a mechanical part that allows the bridge to raise and lower as you open and close the set.  Again, I do not have a time-lapse video for this set because I made it before I even thought about taking video of my builds. Also, you may notice the strange and intense lighting as well as the white background. This is because I bought a photography box with different backdrops and LED ring lights. This is an improvement from my previous photos (maybe?) and may help inprove my photo quality. Enjoy!

Let's Build - LEGO City - "City Pizza Van"

Here is a build that I did a while ago before my craze of capture content started. This set was actually a gift my wife bought me one night. She has gotten herself a Disney Princess castle to build and I got this set to build. It is set item #60150 ( you can see it on the front and back bumper. I like clever code placement like that) and contain 249 pieces.  I do not have a time-lapse video to accompany this build since it was done a while ago. Going forward I'm going to try and capture all builds though. Enjoy!

Let's Build - LEGO City - "Airport VIP Service"

Here is another build without a time-lapse video that I had done a long time ago. This depicts a successful business woman as she leaves her Limo and takes flight to her next business ventures.  This is set number 60102 (again, you can see it on the plates of the vehicle) and was 364 pieces altogether. I actually got a lot of leftover parts from this build and I'm hoping to use them elsewhere at some point. Overall, a very easy build but it did take a while to construct. I enjoyed that it depicted the successful person as a woman. Always nice to see the diversity in these LEGO sets.
