Time-Lapse Build - LEGO Creator (3 in 1 ) - "Speed Boat"

Here is the time lapse build to accompany the "Let's Build" of the Speed Boat I published today. I'm still working on perfecting the lighting and quality of my videos, so bear with me and I'm sure you will see some improvements.

Let's Build - LEGO Creator (3 in 1) - "Speed Boat"

Today I did another set build from the LEGO Creator set 31071. It has 109 pieces included in it and has 3 different ways to build. I started off with the Fighter Plane build and now I have moved onto the Speed Boat build. The spotlight and the giant fan on the back are easily my favorite part of this build. There were a few parts that I had actually never used before and it taught me a few ways to use them in the future.

Let's Build - 3rd Party "bricks" - Mr. Universe Van

I've always been a huge fan of Steven Universe and when I saw that there was a series of LEGO knock offs dedicated to the show I was super excited. I didn't mind that it wasn't LEGO brand, because there are a lot of decent 3rd part "brick" products (and I'm a Brick Builder!) So I figured this set wouldn't be too bad. Eventually, I was gifted this set by my wife because she knew I love the show, I love LEGO, and (hopefully) she loves me.   I went into this build thinking it was going to be extremely easy. Boy was I wrong. The finished product is nice and it is still themed to Steven Universe, but the journey to get there was awful. None of these pieces like to stick together, there are about 4 different colors for white, the gray are too similar and can be used in the wrong spots, and the stickers we're super difficult to apply (you can see where I ripped a few).  I'm not saying I don't appreciate this as a gift and that I like the finished prod...

Time-Lapse Build - LEGO Creator (3 in 1) - "Fighter Plane"

I recently picked up the LEGO Creator set #31071 which is a 3-in-1 build. It's orange so clearly, it was the first 3-in-1 that I decided to pick up and make content with. I started off with the Fight Plane (if that's the official name?) build and I plan to do the Speed Boat, and then the Helicopter (again, I don't know if that is their official names) build. It'll be great being able to creator 3 different sets of content with just one purchase! So, from this, I decided to make time-lapse for each different build that this set has to offer. Enjoy!

Let's Build - LEGO City - "City Pizza Van"

Here is a build that I did a while ago before my craze of capture content started. This set was actually a gift my wife bought me one night. She has gotten herself a Disney Princess castle to build and I got this set to build. It is set item #60150 ( you can see it on the front and back bumper. I like clever code placement like that) and contain 249 pieces.  I do not have a time-lapse video to accompany this build since it was done a while ago. Going forward I'm going to try and capture all builds though. Enjoy!

Time-Lapse Build - LEGO City - "Speed Record Car"

I have finally uploaded the time-lapse video for the "Speed Record Car" that I built this week. I included the original audio this time to give a more real feeling to the video. I somewhat enjoy the sounds of the LEGO pieces being moved and shifted around and I thought my viewers might as well. Enjoy!

Let's Build - LEGO City - "Speed Record Car"

I finally got around to building one of the sets that j got from the LEGO store earlier this week. This was a set called "Record Speed Car" from their LEGO City series. It is item #60178 and contains 78 pieces. This was a fun and simple build. I enjoyed the color orange so I did enjoy putting this together. I have a video that I will upload to match this as well in future posts.

First Purchase From A LEGO Store

I got the chance to visit the LEGO store at the Easton Mall in Columbus today. I had been there before, but I had never purchased anything. I figured today was my chance to indulge and finally buy something. I bought 2 simple sets and a Gold Brick key chain. It only cost about $26 so I was really pleased with the pricing. If it was more conviniet I would totally come here for all LEGO purchases but for now I will probably have to stick to ordering online or from Walmart or Target.

A Brick Building Blog Is Born

I've recently rekindled my love for building any LEGO. I've grown very fond of the communities (both young and old) that have been created by the LEGO enthusiasts. I've been following so many different people and watching so many different videos of people doing amazing things with these bricks that I wanted to do the same. Because of this I've decided to take matters into my own hands by creating my very own blog to share my own building ventures. Here you will be able to find photos, videos, and other related content to the world of LEGO and the building that goes along side it. If you're into this type of content hopefully you will stick around to see what type of crazy stuff is going to be shared here. Enjoy!
