First Brixinit Box Is On The Way

I'm super excited to say that my first Brixinit Box is on the way. I had done the first tier of box and I got a 3 months subscription. For those that are unfamiliar with Brixinit, it is basically a monthly subscription box of LEGO pieces and other fun content. The box has 3 different levels that you can order and they all have varying prices and pieces that are included. The boxes I order are going to be level 1 which is the most basic box Brixinit has to offer. I plan to review the box and do a video opening it so everyone can see what exactly comes in one of these wonderful boxes.

The idea of these boxes is that it gives you unique and possibly rare pieces to add to your LEGO creations. It's not exactly a set that you are to build, but rather a way to help you build your own creation (think MOC - My Own Creation). I haven't done any MOCs yet because my LEGO collection isn't very big yet, however I feel like with the help from Brixinit that this problem won't last much longer.

I look forward to sharing what comes in the box to everyone following the blog and hopefully you guys will reach out and share any ideas, questions or comments that you might have on this!

Let's Build - LEGO Creator - "Treehouse Adventures"

Here is a other build that I did a while ago. This one had three different ways to build and this was the set up that I chose to do. Two kids enjoying a treehouse without the burden of the adult world on their shoulders. Plenty of fun things to do in and around their treehouse, and it even has a Bluejay and a Frog! This is set #31053 and contains 387 pieces. It was a medium difficulty build and I did struggle a little bit because there was a mechanical part that allows the bridge to raise and lower as you open and close the set.  Again, I do not have a time-lapse video for this set because I made it before I even thought about taking video of my builds. Also, you may notice the strange and intense lighting as well as the white background. This is because I bought a photography box with different backdrops and LED ring lights. This is an improvement from my previous photos (maybe?) and may help inprove my photo quality. Enjoy!

Let's Build - LEGO City - "Airport VIP Service"

Here is another build without a time-lapse video that I had done a long time ago. This depicts a successful business woman as she leaves her Limo and takes flight to her next business ventures.  This is set number 60102 (again, you can see it on the plates of the vehicle) and was 364 pieces altogether. I actually got a lot of leftover parts from this build and I'm hoping to use them elsewhere at some point. Overall, a very easy build but it did take a while to construct. I enjoyed that it depicted the successful person as a woman. Always nice to see the diversity in these LEGO sets.

Let's Build - 3rd Party "bricks" - Mr. Universe Van

I've always been a huge fan of Steven Universe and when I saw that there was a series of LEGO knock offs dedicated to the show I was super excited. I didn't mind that it wasn't LEGO brand, because there are a lot of decent 3rd part "brick" products (and I'm a Brick Builder!) So I figured this set wouldn't be too bad. Eventually, I was gifted this set by my wife because she knew I love the show, I love LEGO, and (hopefully) she loves me.   I went into this build thinking it was going to be extremely easy. Boy was I wrong. The finished product is nice and it is still themed to Steven Universe, but the journey to get there was awful. None of these pieces like to stick together, there are about 4 different colors for white, the gray are too similar and can be used in the wrong spots, and the stickers we're super difficult to apply (you can see where I ripped a few).  I'm not saying I don't appreciate this as a gift and that I like the finished prod...
